Take the 3 pieces apart and put them back together to its original shape, that is the objective of this beautifully metal puzzle.

A word from the designer:
"The Radix is a puzzle known for both its monumental looks and somewhat organic styling and movements. The entire unit gives off an air of antique wisdom, with the pieces joined at the base in chaotic harmony.

The name comes from the mathematical term, 'radical axis'; and also means root in Latin. As innovative a concept as it is; you might even be tempted to call it 'radical'. Whatever you call it, have fun. The key word here is 'sprout'".

Love this puzzle. I have successfully separated it but did not reconstruct. I will not give up on it. I love it.

Radically Twisted!

So, I FINALLY finished this little sucker and couldn't wait to write a review - This ones a big winner. Bewildering and beautiful it delivered exactly what these puzzles should - complexity, precision configuring, false solutions, and aesthetics. Took longer much than I'd expected - about 5 days. But that's what I pay for. No matter how much they try my last nerve. I've over 20 Hanayama puzzles now and I'd say for me, this one is exceptional - deceptively challenging. Kind of like a smaller version of Enigma. Few puzzles I'm afraid to take apart again - Equa, Vortex, Enigma - in that it takes a good amount of time to get back together. This is now on that list. Had it apart in about a day and had no idea how it happened, thus the additional 4 to configure it back together. All in all - a big win. If you're a collector it needs to be in your bag. Sit's pretty on the shelf too!

Absolutely Fantastic!

This puzzle will truly make you go radix to find the solution! it is likely the most curious design. I liked it so much, I hope they come out with a Radix II

Cast Radix - Hanayama Metal Puzzle

Gave this as brithday gift to a 10-year old boy. Immediate enthusiasm. His dad solved it when boy was sleeping and left it "put back together" at his bedside. By the time family had awakened next day, he had it taken apart. It has been enjoyed by everyone in the family so far - - but not necessarily with the success of the father or son.
