Love this puzzle the solution seems so obvious, and it is. But to actually get the pieces apart is very challenging. I would easily rate this a level 4. Took me about 5 hours to solve to it was a little longer than normal. Definitely wont disappoint!

Admittedly, I bought this Hanayama level 4 because I really like donuts. And like most great donuts, I enjoyed this one slow and satisfyingly with a good, dark cup of coffee. It is indeed more challenging than it appears but I was a little disappointed that the solution wasn't as spectacular as I'd wished. No jelly in this donut but more in common with a really good old fashion (mmmm, i LOVE old fashions!) The mechanics are cleaver and are really what makes this puzzle a worthy challenging, for unlike most Hanayama casts the pieces weren't all identical. Takes delicate and patient fingers to pull this guy apart. I can safely say it's a level 4 for me and not to out of the ballpark for the novice. But looking at this set perched up on my collection shelf just makes me wanna.... mmmmmm... go grab some donuts!
