This well known and marvelous brain teaser puzzle game, contains 2 of the Soma Cube puzzles, each has the 7 nonidentical Soma wooden pieces.
The original Soma Cube, was invented by a Danish mathematician, Piet Hein in 1936.
Each puzzle has seven (7) pieces made out of cube units, must be assembled into a 3×3×3 cube.
The pieces can also be used to make a variety of other 3D shapes. In fact, there are 240 different ways "JUST" to build a solid CUBE with those 7 pieces.
Arches, walls, plinths, towers, ships, etc. can also be created from the Soma pieces.
Soma Cube addicts claim that after gaining some familiarity with the pieces, they speed up their solving abilities enormously.
In this great version of the game, we offer 50 playing cards with building shape challenges on one side, and the solution on the other side of each of the cards.
Since this game offer 2 sets of the 7 pieces Soma, there is an option to use it as a 2 player game, when a playing card is pulled out, and each of the players try to complete the shape first, without looking at the solution.
The puzzle comes with wooden box and matching lid, for safe keeping of the pieces and cards.
Providing children and adults with a Soma Cube gives them an excellent way of nurturing their grasp of spatial relationships.
