"Dial it up" with this new attractive pocket-sized puzzle in the Hanayama series. The objective is to take it apart to 4 pieces, and assemble it back.

You must solve the puzzle by turning the dials on both sides (front and back), until you separate all four pieces.

Cleverly devised, the solution is satisfying delightful.

Nicely made, attractive, and fairly difficult

This took me a couple of hours to solve. The design is inspired by Hanayama MARBLE, which in my opinion is more elegant, but is also not as difficult. The solution to DIAL takes a lot of trial and error before any progress is made. Some of the mechanism that holds it together cannot be seen, nor easily deduced. This makes it more a matter of endurance than cleverness when getting it apart. Still, it is a nice addition to my Hanayama collection.

Chalk up your hands

This ones a bit hard in handling. But I agree with Whitney from S.J. It's reminiscent of Marble in that it houses a central piece that needs solving to unlock the whole. But it's much more mechanical. I'm still yet to memorize the movements for unlocking it at will. Even revealing the puzzle itself lends little guidance in order or orientation to solve and resolve. It's one of the more intriguing looking pieces of the line and certainly begs attention seen alone on a countertop. I've gotten a few kicks telling millennials that it's a spinner and watching them try to figure it out. In any case, this is for sure a challenging installment to the line and as the description states, satisfying to unlock. Good luck!
