Cast Cake - Hanayama Metal Puzzle

This is my 23rd Hanayama puzzle. I chose it because the design was really intriguing. I really wanted to know how it worked. I didn't really commit myself diligently in solving it at first as I just wanted to fiddle with it for a while. After a few days and messing around with a few different positionings with the layers, I finally stumbled on a clue to it's eventual dismantling. I was pleasantly surprised. Super clever design and it's a beauty to look at. I've learned to solve each cast puzzle slowly so I can meticulously study its unraveling. So putting this one back together wasn't too much a challenge. All in all I really did enjoy this one. And it looks great in the collection.
